Accessibility

Updated 4 November 2026

Routside is built with Apple's standard controls and follows your device's accessibility settings. These are the features it supports today.

Supported

VoiceOver
Markers, pop-ups, lists and the details screen are labelled, so you can find a workout on the map, open it and read every figure with VoiceOver.
Voice Control
Every button has a name you can say, like “Tap Show All Workouts”, and “Show numbers” reaches the markers on the map.
Larger Text
Text follows your preferred size, up to the largest accessibility sizes, and the welcome screen rearranges itself to fit.
Dark Interface
Routside follows your device's Light or Dark appearance, map included. The workout details screen is always dark, like Fitness's own.
Differentiate Without Color Alone
Every activity has its own symbol as well as its colour, and pop-ups and lists name each workout's type in words. The pace colours on a route's map are repeated as numbers in its splits.
Sufficient Contrast
Controls use the system's own materials and colours, which stay legible over the map and respond to Increase Contrast.
Reduced Motion
With Reduce Motion on, the map moves straight to where it's going instead of gliding, and nothing on screen zooms or grows. Gentle fades remain.

Not applicable

Routside has no video or audio, so captions and audio descriptions don't apply.

Something not working?
