Common questions

Why isn't one of my workouts on the map?

Routside can only place workouts that have a GPS route. Indoor workouts, and outdoor ones recorded without a route, have no location, so they can't be shown.

If a workout with a route is missing, check that Routside can read both Workouts and Workout Routes in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Routside.

Why do I only see recent workouts?

iOS lets you share only recent Health history with an app. If you've done that, Routside says so on the map and shows the date it can read from. To show older workouts, share all of your history with Routside in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Routside.

The map is empty. What's wrong?

Health never tells apps when access is turned off; it just looks like there's no data. Check that Routside can read Workouts and Workout Routes in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Routside, then return to Routside, which reloads automatically.

Does Routside change my Health data?

No. Routside only ever reads from Health. It can't add, change or delete anything.

Why does Show Details open in Routside instead of Fitness?

Apple doesn't let apps open a specific workout in Fitness, so Routside shows the details itself, laid out like Fitness's own workout screen.

Why are times shown in another time zone?

Routside shows each workout in the local time where it happened, so a morning run abroad still reads as morning. When that differs from your device's time zone, the zone is shown after the time.

Which devices does Routside run on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 27 or later. It isn't available on Mac, because Apple Health isn't on the Mac.
